Key Club is a service leadership organization and a branch of Kiwanis International www.keyclub.org and the Circle K www.circlek.org family. The club's objectives are:
- To develop initiative and leadership
- To provide experience in living and working together
- To serve the school and community
- To prepare for useful leadership
The award-winning Whittier Key Club is the fifth oldest charter in the New England District. Since 1955, the Key Club has contributed thousand of hours and dollars to community projects. Community projects include visits and donations to shelters, hospitals, senior and child care centers.
In 2001 and 2002, Whittier finished 2nd and 3rd in overall achievement among all Key Clubs in New England. In 2003 , the club finished 1st in New England in per capita fundraising - the most coveted achievement.
The Whittier Key Club welcomes and encourages students to participate in the many activities offered throughout the school year and summer.
